Hello, I'm Masha Mitt.
I’ve always loved drawing faces, the quiet emotions, the subtle details, the stories behind every expression. But for a long time, I felt trapped by rigid rules and “perfect proportions.” Everything changed when I learned to simplify, loosen up, and let my portraits feel alive instead of perfect.
Now, I help others do the same, to find their own voice in pencil, enjoy the process, and create portraits that feel soft, expressive, and uniquely theirs. ✏️
My Story
I started drawing when I was little, sketching faces, expressions, and people I saw around me. Later, I studied academic drawing and design, learning all the rules and structures that make up a portrait. But over time, I realized that art isn’t just about accuracy, it’s about emotion.
When I stopped chasing perfection and started drawing more freely, everything clicked. Now I’m sharing that approach with others, helping artists find confidence, loosen up, and bring life and feeling into their portraits.
Three Elements of my Art

Gentle Realism
My portraits blend structure and softness — believable yet dreamlike. She focuses on capturing emotion through subtle shading, loose lines, and imperfect balance, creating faces that feel alive rather than static.

Simplicity with Intention
Every stroke has purpose. Instead of overworking details, I simplify finding beauty in restraint. My process shows how less can say more, turning minimal graphite marks into expressive, human stories.

Emotion Over Perfection
For me, drawing isn’t about flawless anatomy — it’s about feeling. I invite others to let go of control, embrace imperfection, and focus on what matters most: the emotion behind the line.
